Francie's Face Lift
I finally found an art store that sold copic markers in human skin tones (well, darker skin tones) and so I grabbed a GraphicPro Duo alcohol based ink marker in the colour #5043 Chocolate, which was a greyish looking brown colour (the colour of chocolate milk I guess),
I did a bit of colour theory and aimed to get a brown that didn’t have a lot of yellow in it so that when I coloured in Francie’s vinyl I didn’t just make her head look super orange.
It took a lot of layers of scribbling the ink on, rubbing it into the vinyl and making sure it went on evenly. There was a lot of uneven streaks and spots but I found that with a bit of alcohol I could help even out the darker areas. It was a LOT of trial and error to get this result and I’m afraid of tampering too much with it so yeah.
I’m currently at my bf’s now so I’m cut off from dolls so I still need to darken her brows, eye shadow and lips, but hey I’m really happy I got a francie that isn’t so pale lol.
