Caesar Iris

Weyerhauser has a Botanical Garden that you can visit, it is filled with flowers that are insanely colorful. After walking through a section of firey coral orange rhodedendrons I came across this patch of purple spears, all Iris that had not yet bloomed.

On the way out I asked on of the curators how long it would be until the blooms appeared and I was told that in the next day or so, and I was told that the color of blue was unbelievably intense and worth a visit to see.

I was so intriqued by the unopen buds that I drove back down there a couple days later just to see these unbeliable buds opened up. I must say that as I came around the bend in the pathway I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the vivid bright limey green speckled with the most intense cobalt blue i have ever laid my eyes on.

Simply enchanting.
