On the morning I took this photo, I was fortunate to have perfectly still water in the lake so I could capture the mirror-like reflection of the snow-capped mountains, clouds and trees in the water. I used a graduated neutral density filter to stop down the sky and even out the exposure. I was in complete awe of the beauty of the lake, and for that matter, all of New Zealand, which is a spectacularly gorgeous place. Great place for photography.
