Experienced hands

The experienced hands of a cigar maker in Ybor City, Tampa. I did the photography for a charity, that both my wife and I are involved in, last night called Heartbeat International and this woman was rolling handmade cigars that could be enjoyed with an cognac as part of the fund raising. Ybor is known as Cigar City and cigars are an honored tradition in the Tampa area.

This is a wonderful charity that offers pacemakers to needy recipients in many third world countries and they do it through a network of volunteer organizations and doctors at a cost of $300 - $500 per patient. Today, in the United States, a pacemaker implant runs from $25,000 to $50,000 so you can see that this is a true bargain. Almost 10,000 pacemakers have been implanted over the years and many of the recipients are young children that are being giving a second chance at a normal childhood.
