Misurina - Dramatic Light at Sunrise
This one is actually my favorite when it comes to light and how the morning sidelight picks up different details in the mountains, creating a dramatic effect as other parts now stay in the shade, making the Sorapiss mountains look more 3D and less like a backdrop - but the wind has picked up so the reflection is no longer undisturbed. So overall, I like the one four photos to the right in my stream the best of these sunrise shots. I'm still glad I stayed to see this light.
The building in this fantastic location is a centre for diagnosis, treatment and management for childhood asthma. Somehow it gives me a glimmer of hope in humanity that this wonderful spot isn't reserved for those with the most money, but those most in need of the pure air at 1752m above sea level in the mountains. The rest of us can still visit.
