Petal (MacroMondays Theme Double Exposure)

I was very excited about the MacroMondays challenge on double exposures, as I had only tried in-camera double exposures when I first got my current camera, and never returned to it until today. I also have not overlaid any photos in a long time. My first idea was something related to this but slightly different, but it did not work out quite like I imagined, and I already thought I'd have to resort to CreativeCloud for overlaying single exposures as the light was fading fast and I wanted natural light - but then this second idea worked the way I wanted. I am thankful for MacroMondays crew for pushing us participants by having a theme related to a technique - this was refreshing!

One of the exposures is a petal on a white sheet, the other one of a dictionary. The difficulty - in addition to composing the two shots after each other in camera without seeing the other one -

consisted of getting the petal shot to be dark enough in comparison with the dictionary shot, as I could not change the ISO between the two exposures, and did not want to touch the other settings (and was too lazy to set up a tripod). In hindsight it would have been great to have the text more pronounced on the petal itself, but oh well, the light is gone. I believe I'll return to double exposures another time. This was fun. HMM to all.
