Diseased Super Bush Tomato
Two of my Super Bush tomatoes had this black looking rot on their underside, that seemed to be spreading. I removed them, reasoning that I'd rather the plant put its energy into healthy fruit. I don't know what the disease is, though. Does anyone know? Bonus points if you know how to treat it!
Update: It would appear to be blossom end rot. Generally caused by a shortage of calcium in the soil, or periods without enough water. I guess I should be more diligent about making sure that my plants are watered every morning, and maybe check on them in the evening, too! I'll also buy some lime to help fix any calcium shortage problem.
