Offerings of Lights

It is common to see Buddhist practitioners lighting candles or butter lamps while reciting prayers. This practice helps to keep the image of Enlightenment and all it represents at the centre of one's attention and is therefore said to be very beneficial on both a conscious and sub-conscious level.
