12 years since my best ever day on base. Something I doubt will ever be bettered, TBH. EOR during a Red Flag mission launch that included F-111s, F-117s, EA-6s, B-2, F-22s when they were still new and exciting, and plenty of colourful stuff, too.
The 65th AGRS operated the F-15C/D in the Aggressor role from Nellis AFB until its inactivation in September 2014.
Tragically, this aeroplane, along with its pilot, Lt. Col. Thomas "Moses" Bouley (one of two on board; a RAF exchange pilot ejected and survived), were lost in an accident on 30th July 2008. While executing a planned manoeuvre during a Red Flag 08-3 mission, the aeroplane departed from controlled flight and entered a spin from which recovery proved impossible. Lt Col Bouley ejected late and his parachute failed to inflate fully before he impacted the terrain.
