En honor a Pedro Albizu Campos (1891-1965), un abogado y político puertorriqueño y la figura principal en el movimiento independentista puertorriqueño. Se graduó de Harvard Law School con el promedio de calificaciones más alto en su clase de derecho, un logro que le valió el derecho de dar el discurso de despedida en su ceremonia de graduación. Fue presidente y portavoz del Partido Nacionalista Puertorriqueño desde 1930 hasta su muerte en 1965. Debido a su habilidad oratoria, fue aclamado como El Maestro (El Maestro). Fue encarcelado por veintiséis años por intentar derrocar al gobierno de los Estados Unidos en Puerto Rico.
In honor of Pedro Albizu Campos (1891–1965), a Puerto Rican attorney and politician and the leading figure in the Puerto Rican independence movement. He graduated from Harvard Law School with the highest grade point average in his law class, an achievement that earned him the right to give the valedictorian speech at his graduation ceremony. He was the president and spokesperson of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party from 1930 until his death in 1965. Because of his oratorical skill, he was hailed as El Maestro (The Teacher). He was imprisoned twenty-six years for attempting to overthrow the United States government in Puerto Rico.
