Went back to Analog Film Lab for the E6 processing despite the increase in price per roll. The whole was already long and to save some money on scanning, had to bring to usual Whampoa Colour Centre for the final step.
However, the difference in the quality of the end product is obvious. The one stop solution despite the convenience at a much lower rate, produces something that I have never expected. Was even informed that it’s due to the under exposed shots that had been made. My guess is the use of the different (maybe inferior) chemicals and perhaps some different processing steps.
I’m not an expert in developing films but when I sent 1 roll for a 2nd scan to see if any improvements could be made, remarks from the uncle in WCC were the possibility of different chemicals used resulting in the quality of negatives, which even after using the extreme settings during scan, nothing much can be savaged.
Lesson learnt. Only have myself to blame.
