On reaching Ponagala para....

Taken on the trek to Agasthyakoodam in Feb 2006.

To reach Agastyakoodam, we need to trek atleat 28 Kms(one side). through a wide variety of forest terrains.

The grand final 7 kms to Agasthyan is a real test on body as well as your mind as the climate changes are so spontaneous

Agastyakoodam (Agastya Malai), a towering forested peak of 1868 metres, and adjoining forests in the tail end of Western Ghats form the most diverse and unknown ecosystem in Peninsular India.
