The Muskoka Chair Needs Paint

We have a pair of Muskoka chairs sitting in the yard and both are a tad the worse for wear, needing bot repairs and paint. Muskoka chairs are the common name in this region of the world (Grimsby, Ontario) for a very popular chair found along the entire Eastern North American vacation spots. However, the name South of the border is typically 'Adirondack' chair due to its popularity In that Eastern US mountain vacation range. As I said, it is in need of some attention and as I was inspecting it, it struck me that a pretty nice abstract should be possible in a close up of the paint and exposed wood. Recently, I have been posting images that conform to a Red Rule. A family member asked if it was restricted to red and I said it was not. So here is a Blue Rule shot. - JW

PP in free Open Source RAWTherapee from Nikon RAW/NEF source file: resize image to 9000x6000, reduce exposure slightly, increase contrast slightly, boost black level just a little, boost vibrance, adjust colour balance to slightly warm the image, enable micro-contrast, apply noise reduction, save. PP in free Open Source GIMP: sharpen, slightly increase contrast, slightly boost green channel only saturation to bring up the lichens a bit, sharpen, save, scale image to 6000x4000 (my preferred size for prepping an image to be used on-line), add fine black and white frame, add bar and text on left, save, scale to 1800 wide for posting.
