A Once-Thriving Chemical Plant

The former Sasol chemical plant north of Oil City, originally a Koppers facility, is in the process of demolition. Today the tracks once used to load tank cars are now used to load outbound scrap. The crew of Western New York & Pennsylvania train ME-1 has cut away from its train to set out two empty high-sided gondolas for loading.
