go'fish

the earliest "character" that comes to most minds that have filed such information as a catalogue of Ottawa graffitists is "GoFish"; Eric Grice. i'd heard of him first through a poem by Warren Dean Fulton & had only encountered "live" some of his later works as "Puzzle"; i've never actually seen any of his early urban installation project. i much more recently have seen 2 examples of how he'd go about possible "GoFish"es now, of which one is at www.flickr.com/photos/48593922@N04/28650507895;
the other i didn't get a shot of.
having received a gift of an unfinished handmade paddle (thanks Rachel!), i wanted to emblazon it with a print of some kind & came to this potential stencil i'd earmarked a photograph for development into as homage to Eric's blazed path, the photo being of a flame from the "helping to make the world a slightly better place" series:

the flame can be seen in the lower right corner.
so here're the cleanest of the prints in the ongoing urban waterway that will be appearing randomly in various circumstances.
thanks, Eric!
