Wharton Hood

is a name i found on one of those blue "Hello My Name Is..." stickers near Bloor & Bedford Streets in Toronto in about 1981. i was beginning to poot around a lot with recombinant, chance-structured & other forms of détourned texts & it made sense to apply the found "Wharton" as "author" to the "found poetry".
the project took off but required a level of application that often eclipsed my ability to work on "my own" stuff & a series of strange events occurred that suggested it be wound back in somewhat. there is yet more of this material to appear but this set represents that which has appeared so far as separate releases (anthology & magazine appearances swell the list to the hundreds).
