kids on the river 67
day 23: lunch break. when i was first working away down here this evening, a fox came trotting along the ice of the river from the Prince Of Wales bridge, stopping when it got close then cutting across the bay to the point & disappearing in the growth there. i kept up a fairly endless friendly-sounding chatter directed at it & saw it next as it came around the path beside the firepit, peeking at me around the corner of the quinzee before going inside. it came out again & skittered around back & the next i saw it was a coupla minutes later, peering at me from over the roof. i tried to shoot its tracks but those shots're all for shit: this one inadvertently trapped evidence that it'd travelled the slope of the quinzee itself. it also forayed into each entrance & hung around quite a while before running off into the bush again.
