Don Garner
Don was a poet who was among the first of the crew who sold their books on street corners (Yonge & Maitland for Don, across from the St.Charles Tavern) in Toronto (the others being Crad Kilodney, Stuart Ross & myself; Mark Laba, Lillian Necakov & Arno Wolf followed not long after). he ran Huron Path Press & the one-shot magazine UP FRONT, publishing a brief string of his own titles – Dirty Laundry, Yukon Violation, Running Sore & Pretend You're Still Alive – before succumbing to AIDS in the late'8os.
