it's been entertaining to watch the spread of sawdust under this broken limb as ants excavate a new colony.

what's particularly of note is that they had interior workers cutting & dropping pieces of wood out & a small groundcrew picking them up & carrying them minorly-further away to change what could've been an all-but-unnoticeable pile into an attention-grabbing swath.
