coming home from the river, i passed this FIB (Flying Inflatable Boat), serial # o13916, assembled in Canada in 2oo1 for Brandon Fasan/Templeton Windows in Midland, Ontario, flying registered from Ottawa, here parked on Bayview Station Road by the NCC offices.
a 2-seat Basic Ultra-Light (527k) æroplane with Rotax piston engine powering a triple-bladed propeller between a parasail & rubber boat, this was first seen in flight last year on october 3o over the Ottawa River near the Little Chaudière Rapids. apparently, there are only 4 of these aircraft currently logged in the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register as extant, of which 2 are in Ontario, this the earliest of the 4.
