THE BRITISH ISLES

A Symphony in Colour.

edited by David Gibbon.

New Malden (England), Colour Library International Limited ("Collins"), 198o.

with a Foreward by Alexander George Thynn ("signed" "Bath") & texts by Philip Clucas, Don Coolican, Ian Digby, Gibbon (x3), Terence J.Sheehy, Kathryn Spink (unidentifiedly) & Lee Thomas.

no cover photo acknowlegement.

in fact, infuriatingly in a book that consists primarily of colour photography, there is to be found not one single acknowledgement to any of the probably many photographers whose work was "used" (commissioned? pirated?) for this glorified tourist come-on (seemingly aimed at the British); the only individuals named are the book production team (Thynne only alluded to by peerage title). apparently, the image production team is beneath notice, despite their photographs being singled out as uniquely representative of their subjects.
