as the sun set, the smoke & steam rose from 12 townhouses no longer under construction on just-laid Culdaff Road in Stittsville.
reporter Josh Pringle writes "Ottawa Fire Public Information Officer Nicholas DeFazio told CTV News Ottawa that when firefighters arrived on scene, six of the units were fully engulfed in flames, and the fire was spreading into another block of six townhouses. There were 10 fire trucks on the scene early Wednesday evening battling the fire."
nearby propane tanks were cooled & prevented from exploding & a further 24 townhouses of the Mattamy Homes development failed to ignite.
