not a particularly clear shot but the best i could do under the circumstances of fast insect action by dusklight.

this critter sipped a little too much of my radler & fell in. i found it swimming around when i went to take a drink & rescued it with a spoon, depositing it on a beer bottle, where it spent more time than i was patient enough to watch (over 2o minutes) in cleaning itself.

that forked white thing is its labium, a combination of lower lip & tongue.
