Jumpin' Jetty 1

not exactly "carpentry-in-the-dark" or even "masonry-in-the-dark" (since it was all done in daylight) but the most recent addition to the environs of the TesserActual ArteFactory tower.

some truly massive slabs of rock were peeled off the cliffface, which formed a natural crib underwater to fill with large stones, graded ever smaller toward the surface gravel. for a coupla feet out from the cliff, the riverbed averages only about 2-1/2 feet deep but it drops off to i don't know how deep within about 5 feet. the jetty extends about 6 or 7 feet into the water & is maybe about 1o feet wide & probably has used about 2o tons of stone to reach this point of almost-completion (a few more big buckets of smaller gravel & dirt to make the surface flush with the flagstones should about finish it off).
