future Random Farms
many months of sifting soil - initially by hand & later about a half a cubic foot at a time with Ben Walker's donated soil sieve - & the sunken garden's almost ready!
it'd've been not quite so sunken if the quantity of rock hadn't been so consistent throughout: i swear that almost no matter where i attempted to push the trowel in, it went all of a quarter-inch before it hit rock, which rock was usually irremovable until a further unseen keystone was found & pried outta the way. either that or it'd get caught on a root & all the dirt fall off the trowel.
