the best bacon'n'tomato

–double slices of bacon wrapped back & forth on a stick (like a ruffled collar with a spike through it), very slowly roasted over an open fire to melt away all the fat & lightly brown it.

–let cool.

–stuff some of the ruffles with cheese curds, droozle barbecue sauce all over, back into the fire to quickly spin in flame until sauce caramelizes.

–lay on tomatoes (pepper optional) on bun (toasted optional) & squeeze bun & work stick out

–onions (fresh diced, fried on a hot rock, or both) & mustard optional

 

note: make sure you've got some space between the ruffles & go really slow with this to get all the fat melted away or you end up with what i call meat-gum (no fun unless you like that sort of thing).

also, be sure to use a straight, green stick.
