besides the seemingly-gratuitous slashings recently performed (by i guess the parks department, Hull) that's supplied me with a good halfton of firewood, it seems the beavers're at serious work felling trees that can be chawn on under the ice once it forms (coming soon to a waterway near you). will check back on these tomorrow...
