Texan crescent

A butterfly named for our state! When I look at the wing patterns, I am reminded of the patterns of the western style shirts that men in my family wore back in the old days. These shirts always had fancy stitching and hand-tooled designs and often a range of colors along with "pearl snap" buttons. Mostly, though, it makes me happy to see a beautiful creature named for the state of Texas.
