White-top Pitcher Plants

Sarracenia leucophylla, White-top Pitcher Plants, growing beside a small and shallow pond in one of the last remaining areas of wet prairie. The land nearby is developed with houses, and the encroachment is a threat to these and other species. To the south beside the paved road, more S. leucophylla, sundews, bladderwort, and orchids were blooming in and near the ditch. People seem to have little concern for harming these plants as the ditch was rutted with what I suspected to be ATV tracks. This land needs better protection.
