Gold Finger glows in the moist rainforest air... Juanulloa mexicana

Stunning! Long tubular brilliant orange flowers in profusion!

This leathery-leaved shrub or woody vine grlows three to six feet tall and forms yellow-orange fleshy flowers at the tips of the branches. It is a member of the potato family but grows nothing like one. The aggressive clinging roots of this plant allow it to grow on trees as well as in the garden. It is everblooming and a fast grower that needs pruning to control shape and size. Hardy to temperatures in the upper 20s, the plant also resprouts reliably after more servere freezes.
