Police protection of displaced in Bulengo
The proposed site for the displaced is about 4 km from the main road to Goma. To get to this isolated spot you have to walk a kilometer through a banana grove. The humanitarians and many of the displaced were concerned about insecurity. We and other agencies successfully lobbied for the Police to come to the site to protect the population. A partner organization arranged a briefing for the police on Sexual Violence against women. This detachment was from the 2nd Company commanded by Commandant Sego.
