Paintbook App
From imagination and freehand from a photo.

Paintbook has this cool feature where you can send images in the pb gallery between devices. So when I decided to make yesterday's fragment into a portrait of Tim, I sent it from the Touch to the iPad.
Another critical feature of Paintbook, which I haven't seen *anywhere* else in the *hundreds* of art apps I've tried for iDevices is that you can make the paper bigger. Hint hint sketchbook, brushes, inspire, artrage, etc, etc. Why in the world should running into the edge of the paper be a problem on a digital platform? Anyway, yesterday's fragment filled the page, but I made the page bigger to fit the rest of him.
OK, Tim as multicolored wild joker but still I do think I have succeeded in getting a bit of him in there. Just not sure about that purple curl on the right side of his forehead... I may need to take that out.
You can see Tim's artwork on his flickr imagestream:

We're having a Portrait Party on flickr - more than 600 artists from all over the world drawing each other! If you're an artist who'd like to draw and be drawn by other flickr artists (you have to be willing to be both subject and artist), please read the guidelines and consider joining the Portrait Party at: www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/
