Freehand from memory of glimpses of a photo.
Not sure this was the right medium for this image and I probably will not finish it and cut the block.
However, this was a very interesting exercise. I did it during my commute and had only the iPad. So I had to swap back and forth between looking at the photo and drawing, as there is no way to import an image to work from in this App. My main interest was to fit everyone in, in relatively correct proportion, and in that I think I succeeded pretty well.
However, to take it to the next stage, I would want to sharpen the drawing a bit, especially the main two figures in the front. Unfortunately the tools in this app aren't small enough for all the details in the back so I think I will just take it in a different direction.
