It's the 100th day in a row for the Daily Portrait Project! A "coloring book" style drawing and one of many possible ways to color it, thanks to Photoshop.

Of course one never knows at the time... but this marked the beginning of a whole new direction for the Daily Portrait Project. I had rejected the brush magic markers because they faded so badly but not found another way of applying color so quickly, and without cleanup, etc, that I was comfortable with.
While still facing the mirror and drawing myself face-on parallel to the picture plain, I backed away a little bit and filled the frame with all sorts of details besides my face - everything I could see in my mirror.
Although I occasionally pulled out the brush markers in a pinch, this was the end of their dominance of the project. And similarly, I still occasionally drew just my face - but it became unusual rather than typical.
