Kulturbrauerei (cultural centre in old brewery)
On several spots in Berlin you can find beautiful old factories from around 1900. Unfortunately many of them are in desperate need of more than just a paint job.
This specific one, which covers the respectable area of an entire city block, has been totally revamped and thus received a second life as a cultural centre. Here, around the central courtyard, you'll find a concert hall, several clubs, restaurant an bars, many artist studio's, a music shop, an Apple dealer, etc..
The atmosphere during the night was just a little bit 'over the top' for my liking though. I have a strong feeling some of the clubs have been heavily overhyped in the past year(s). Good for them though, I guess.
