Alone on the crater - Kerid Crater (Klausturholar, Iceland)
The crater, which is around 14 metres (45 feet) deep, was formed by a volcanic eruption around 6500 years ago! The crater lake's perfectly oval shape and striking colours, with the intense turquoise blue of the water contrasting against the red volcanic rock and green moss of its slopes, it´s a perfect place to enjoy the Northern Lights
