mcmeggers: I'm sure a person who owns like a handful of chickens there treated great. Its factory farming that torture there animals , and I know in the america there's no law that protects birds so chickens, turkeys ect.

jtuk1: @jenziej oh my , sorry to upset you , cows produce milk for their young err not for humans , dairy cows end up in cheap pies or pet food after a few years of intensive milking . Remember the poor mother cow becomes very distressed at constantly being permanently separated from their new born young . Factory farming is hideously cruel. There is nothing natural about factory farming. Your neighbours chickens are probably very happy , but caged or battery hens lead the most miserable lives imaginable . Even free range chickens will end up in pet food or used in cheap food products . Chicken slaughter is horrible , I will spare you the details . The meat and dairy industries tell us we must drink cows milk to be healthy and eat dead animals to be strong , this is nonsense , humans need human milk only and a vegan diet of fruit and vegetables is more than sufficient for good health . I exercise every day on a vegan diet ! Any questions do just ask ...

danspanking: @jenziej Re large scale egg manufacture...the eggs are laid unfertilised because all the male chicks are routinely killed (usually by electrocution) a day or two after birth.
mcmeggers: @jtuk1 you're very right it truly is disgusting, I saw a quote once that said "if slaughterhouses had glass walls everyone would be vegetarian " so very true companies spend billions to make it look like there's just an empty feild with cows in it and there happy and it so isn't true
