Oldest American-Built Locomotive in Existance

Baltimore & Ohio No. 1, the "John Quincy Adams," is the oldest American-built locomotive preserved in the United States, having been constructed in 1835. It was purchased from the B&O in 1947 for Carillon Park, before the B&O Museum was organized.
