1 Year Ago...

...I uploaded my first image. I didn't have any idea of my standing as a photographer. I thought I was pretty good, but it turns out that at that time it was more that I had just seen some wonderful things. When you are in front of beautiful things, it's hard to come away with all bad pictures. Now I know that I was just lucky.

Since then I have worked very hard to improve. I have learned a great deal about composition. I have dramatically improved my photo-editing skills. And I have gotten a better camera (a big help!).

All this to say I've gotten better. I'm still not a master. I have much to learn. And that makes me happy.

In one year I have gained over 1.4K followers and have received approximately 1 million views. I view my time on Flickr to be time well spent.

I have learned so much from the people here. I love to look at all the beautiful (and even some that aren't) photos people share. Thank you all for a great first year.
