Western science and logic relies heavily on drawing distinctions between this and that, on dividing things into categories. On the other hand, eastern philosophy tells us that our dichotomies and classifications are illusions that prevent us from seeing the reality of how things are interconnected, of unity. I wonder if we might be better off if we didn’t focus so much on differences.
