Resolute Bay, Nunavut

The far North! Went on an incredible trip around the Arctic over the past 2 days. This was our second stop for fuel, Resolute Bay, a town of 230 people.

The airport and town in general was a hive of activity, due to a huge joint Canada-US military operation, Operation Nanook, taking place in Resolute and Pond Inlet. The annual sea-lift supply ship is also in town to deliver the once-a-year shipments of fuel and freight.

Our route took us to Grise Fiord next, then Pond Inlet for the night, followed by Nanasivik and Taloyoak on the way home the next day. Many many more pictures to come!
