Typeface (read description for story behind the photo)

For my first photo of 2023, I noticed the morning light glinting off the keys of the typewriter at my desk. Many think of typewriters as a thing of the past, relics seen only in museums and old movies. This, however, isn’t the end of the story. There is a rapidly growing community of devotees. The typo-sphere encompasses enthusiasts from all age groups. These are folks from 9 to 99 who enjoy and appreciate these intricate mechanical marvels that never need software updates, never ask for a password, never nag about spelling or grammar … they just get out of your way and let you express your thoughts. Interruptions from text or email alerts never break your flow. You can freely articulate your narrative to paper with the hypnotic rhythm of the keys blocking all distractions. I include myself in this community, in fact this post was initially composed on the very machine from which this photo was taken.
