Urban Fire 37/52 - Explored
This week's theme is part 3/4 for the Elements, specifically Fire. I've been using parts of nature that I have attempted to classify into one of the four categories (fire, air, earth, and water). Week 1's theme was water, which I used snow crystal for however that always links it partly to earth given its harden formation (flic.kr/p/EWrhUt). Week two I did a sunset beach of the rocks and sand which would be classified as earth but there was water always clearly seen (flic.kr/p/HAg7hG). This week I am during an urban sunrise (instead of sunset) with the sun clearly shown in all its fiery glory (it is a big ball of nuclear reactions) within the air and clouds so air is the other element I have linked to this photo. The final element will come later which will honour air, but tie in at least one other of the elements.
Fun facts about the sun:
-Each second 700,000,000 tons of hydrogen are converted to helium & gamma rays.
-The surface of the Sun has a temperature of 5800 K.
-The Sun is ~4.5 billion years old, and has used up half its hydrogen core since its birth. It is estimated to be able to "live peacefully" for another 5 billion years

Have a great weekend :)
