Jemez River Overflow

Although not as voluminous as in the past several weeks, the Jemez continues to overflow its banks and invade the bosque in this early April image. The Valles Caldera and surrounding high country received more snow this past winter than usual, contributing to significant heavy runoff and flooding as the river courses through the valley.
