Jupiter and Io
Nine RAW photos, heavily cropped, (over-)processed in Registax. The effective focal length is the same as the previous photo in my stream--planets are tiny (in terms of angular size as seen from Earth, anyway).
I thought the 60D's movie crop mode would be ideal for this sort of thing--enabling a huge number of frames to be captured quickly--and this might well have been the case, had I not overexposed and burned out the planet. Good thing the 60D has a manual exposure option in movie mode, which I will surely need to make use of, next time.
