Blue moon?
Okay, the term "blue moon" usually refers to the second full moon in a month, and this one clearly isn't full. In fact, it's just 2.4 days past new. The dark face of the moon is illuminated by a bright Earth shining in the lunar sky. The whole picture is tinted blue by sunlight scattering in Earth's atmosphere (in other words, it's twilight).
