Solar Blast
Sunrise "explodes" over Market Lake north of Idaho Falls.
A note about technique - This image is a single RAW exposure processed in LR and PS. In the past I would have thought that I would need to bracket or use a GND filter to capture this scene. However with the extended dynamic range of many newer cameras (check out DXO Mark to see their measurements) and by maintaining 16 bits through the whole process of adjusting the image, the entire range of light can be captured on a single exposure eliminating the need for these other measures.
