Lake Calibato
Our first real hike in more than 2 years was to this lake. It's one of the Seven Lakes in San Pablo, Laguna. These lakes are relatively small ones created by volcanic activity and are quite deep. This particular lake is the deepest with a maximum depth of 135 meters (443 feet).
That's dormant Mt. Cristobal in the background. The term dormant is quite deceptive as these volcanos in Luzon may remain dormant for hundreds of years, then suddenly come alive in one cataclysmic eruption as what happened with Mt. Pinatubo.
