Vermillion Lakes - fall

Vermillion Lakes with full fall colors, outside the town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies. This shot is Exhibit A of why Kodak took an abrupt nose dive once digital started catching on. They processed my film digitally, but produced such a poor, underexposed print that I never looked at it twice. Today I fished out the digital version on the Kodak CD, and, what do you know, it wasn't underexposed at all, and only needed a few contrast tweaks. It's a shame that Kodak, which pioneered much of the digital technology and holds many of the important patents, did not take digital seriously when it mattered.
