Land's End 2007

Took a little bike ride from Shelter Island to Orient Point, and stood in the waters between Long Island and Plum Island snapping these. The cable crossing runs to Plum Island, one of the United States government's more secret infectious disease facilities. Either the lens or the camera appears to be broken, as there's a clear difference in light, especially visible in the landscape frames. While standing in the waters, a seal showed up very close by, and his head might be in one of the longer-view photos, but I can't find it. Mostly, I was too dumbfounded to shoot him when he was at his closest, no more than few yards away from where I stood.
